Tattoo Medway Ltd.

Studio Information

Tattoo Medway is situated at 74 High Street, Gillingham, Kent. Approximately ? mile from the mainline train station of Gillingham, Kent. The High Street is divided in two by Canterbury St. that crosses it. On the corner of High St. and Canterbury St. is the pub the Prince Albert (easy to remember for all you piercing fans!), the studio is two doors down on the same side as the pub. If you are driving, park in the underground car park behind Somerfields supermarket, walk up the ramp to the High St., and turn left. The studio is on your left just up the street. The small but perfectly formed studio, our second, which opened in May 2001, has two resident tattoo artists; JUSTIN and BEN, who between them cover the entire spectrum of tattoo art, from traditional to portrait, and from full Technicolor to black & grey. Also cover ups and re works of old or bad tattoo?s (other peoples work!) are very popular. See JUSTIN and BEN?s respective galleries to select the style and artist for you, or pop in to see them in person! The street door opens into the reception area, ably staffed by the shop monkeys; Sally, Mel & Hayley (they don?t bite, but please don?t feed them!). There you will find about a million tattoo images (aka flash) in A3 format display books, and next to them are the photo albums of the artist?s work. We find it helps some customers to figure out which artist they want to use and also it always looks different on skin as opposed to white paper! Beside the window is the piercing jewellery display cabinet, with examples of many different styles and colours, and sizes from the discreet to the exhibitionist! Customers can look into the actual tattoo work areas through the two large windows, both of which are fitted with louvre blinds for privacy. On that note, we have room dividers to ensure complete privacy should you require it. Ben?s workstation is on the left, and Justin?s is on the right side. Each workstation is fully equipped and self contained with separate sinks, ultrasonic cleaners, hydraulic chairs etc. See the photos for a better idea of the layout. The tattoo work area leads into the drawing area, and then to the separate Piercing room. The piercing room is fully self contained, has full privacy, and is a shrine to the twin gods of piercing; Stainless Steel and Ceramic Tiling! Our price structure for tattoos is ?25 minimum, and ?60 per hour for custom or flash designs. You can bring in your own designs, pick one of ours, or one of our artists can design one for you, if you can leave a small deposit. The aim of our staff is to help you to get what you want. We give free advice on tattoo or piercing to visitors to the studio. We use only the best inks, needles, jewellery, consumables and equipment we can find, and while it can cost a little more initially, in the long run it is always worth it. Our company motto is; Quality and hygiene guaranteed. Remember; ?Good tattoos ain?t cheap, and cheap tattoos ain?t good!? Ben Sked Tattoo Medway Ltd Hi my name is Ben, I am 36 years old, and Single!
